Raised in rural Dryden, Kari returned to her roots after earning a degree in Agricultural Production in Alberta. Her experience then led her to the feedlot industry, where she worked with a cowboy crew for several years.
Later she was employed by Canadian Pacific Railway and has devoted nearly a decade of her working career where she honed a hands-on and diligent work ethic, she is thrilled to embark on a new chapter in her career within the dynamic world of real estate. Her extensive experience in a demanding and fast-paced industry has equipped her with invaluable skills, such as problem-solving, effective communication, and a strong focus on delivering results. She is eager to leverage these skills to provide exceptional service to her clients and guide them through every step of their real estate journey.
Kari has lived and called home to Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta and feels she has a unique appreciation of the land and a very diverse set of skills that she has acquired throughout her travels and is eager to apply them to her new career with RE/MAX NorthWest Realty as a Realtor. Her interest in real estate was sparked years ago by following real estate market trends in various geographic areas and between wrangling two young daughters and marrying a beef cattle farmer that never sleeps- she felt it was time to make the switch.
When you meet Kari you will always be greeted with a giant infectious smile which will immediately put your mind at ease throughout the buying and selling process. She makes the transition into one of life’s largest investments as seamless as possible by staying on top of deadlines, always having her client’s best interests at the forefront, and is a firm believer in the saying ‘Home isn’t just a place; it’s a feeling. Let’s go find it.’
Kari is also a very active member of her community, currently sitting as secretary of the Kenora District Cattleman’s Association, as well as hosts and competes in a barrel racing series that draws in competitors from Manitoba and all over NWO. On days off you will find Kari riding her barrel horses, chasing cows and kids, doing leatherwork, working in her wood shop, or helping her husband Kebbi on the farm. If you do catch up with her and get the chance to ask her about herself, she will laugh, awkward smirk and reply:
“I like my horses fast, the cow’s fat, and denim on denim is always in style.
Now let’s find a place to hang your hat!”
